Grace Choong's Solo Art Exhibition "Harmony"


Intrigued by mother nature's ever changing phenomenon, Grace Choong spent much of her time travelling around the world and contemplating at these amazing and beautiful wonders. She is also a book lover and plays music at leisure.


"When we observe the nature, we start to appreciate and be thoughtful to life, especially the little things such as a plant or a stone. It is this appreciative attitude that makes us feel alive," said Grace Choong.


Grace Choong has produced hundreds over paintings on travelling series such as Venice, Rome, Turkey Impression, Vancouver, China... . Grace's paintings mirror her thoughts and philosophy on life. While obsession with art and sharing her joy with others has been an integral part of her exuberant personality. Grace has produced floral series such as Yellow orchids, red roses, bird of paradise and garden jewels rendered in acrylics media on canvas. These paintings showcased different layers of colours overlapping with lines and planes.


"I paint the flowers with the intention not only to show aesthetic beauty on the surface, but with my inner feelings. With the hope to instill environment consciousness to the viewers. Life represents hopes. All these feelings can be turned into positive energy and action." added Grace Choong.


Grace Choong 8th solo art exhibition entitled 'Harmony' is showcased at FGS Dong Zen Art Gallery at Jenjarom, Selangor from 5 Dec 2009 to 17Jan 2010.
