Dr. Grace Choong solo garden jewels art exhibition

Dr. Grace Choong latest creation is themed Garden Series comprises of 31 pieces of acrylics and oil paintings. It is displayed at Penang Performing Arts Centre, Straits Quay, Penang. The art exhibition is opened from 5 August to 31 August 2018, everyday from 10.00-6.30pm.

A flowing spontaneous style on acrylics painting is the latest painting style of Dr. Grace Choong, a renowned Malaysian artist. Vibrant colours and broad bold brush strokes are her signature.  In this garden series, Dr Choong has created a series of enlarge orchids painting.  The orchids are directed at the viewer as a conversation with the viewer. The colours of the orchids represent the feelings of the artist.  They represent the freedom of life and happiness.

                The artist has been painting flowers for many years. Gardening and plants are her inspiration source. The object is the conversation with nature.  She is always full of surprise when she sees her flowers blooming in the morning.  Colours also brings peace of mind and joy to the artist.  The composition comes with the object be the focus point of the artwork.

                For art lovers, you are invited to view this spectacular solo art exhibition form 5 August to 31 August 2018 at Penang Performing Arts Centre, Penang Performing Art Centre, 3H-3A-1, Straits Quay, Jalan Sri Tanjung Pinang, Tanjung Tokong, 10470 Penang. Malaysia.  The duration is from 5 August to 31 August 2018. Opens everyday 10.30am to 6.30pm.  Admission is free.

A Talk about ' the Heritage of the Baba and Nyonya of Penang' by Dr. Grace Choong

Penang Teachers Art Circle had invited Dr. Grace Choong to give a talk about the Heritage of the Baba and Nyonya of Penang : 1900-1957. It was held at Valero Seni Mutiara ,118, Lebuh Armenian , Penang. Members and public were invited on May 6, 2018,Sunday 2.30-4.30pm.

Footsteps - 3 artists art exhibition 2018

3 artists showed their creation at Atelier Rouge Art Gallery at the School, Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya from 21 April to 15 May 2018.  The artists are Dr. Grace Choong, Loo Hooi Nam dan Yong Look Lam. 

Peranakan Art Exhibition by Dr. Grace Choong

A collection of 51 pieces of artworks is displayed at Level 2, Cha Ballroom, Jen Hotel from 24 to25 March 2018. The paintings are oil paintings and acrylics work created by famous artist Dr. Grace Choong who is also a Penang Nyonya.

International Women's Day Art Exhibition 2018

24 women artists showcased their artworks at Penang Performing Arts Centre from 4 - 31 March 2018, 35 pieces of artworks were displayed. The art exhibition was curated by Dr. Grace Choong.
Besides that, an art talk titled MyStory is held on 31March2018 at Penangpac. The six invited speakers are Dr.Grace Choong, Susanna Hernienisme, Sally Lee, Queenie Chew, Hwang Sock Tsu and Jennifer Tan.
